ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Nicolae Gola on Thursday said that both Pakistan and Romania were enjoying cordial relations and desired to further strengthen them.

The envoy expressed these view in a meeting with the Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain held in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both the sides agreed that there was a great potential for joint collaboration and mutual cooperation in the field of defence production which could be explored.

The ambassador expressed confidence that the existing ties between the two countries in the field of ‘Military Technical Cooperation’ would get further boost in the coming days.

The Romanian envoy said that Pakistan, having a rich culture, working democracy, vibrant economy and hospitality, was extremely important country among the comity of nations. He expressed the desire to increase the trade volume between the two countries.

Rana Tanveer said that Pakistan was also looking forward to strengthen its bilateral relations with Romanian Defence Industries. He underlined the need for regular exchange of defence delegations between the two countries.

The minister appreciated Romania’s continuous support for Pakistan at various International fora.

“Regular bilateral contacts play an important role in providing momentum and consolidating bilateral relations for mutual benefit,” he said.
