MULTAN, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that South Punjab province is not a slogan but it is need of the hour.
Talking to media in Multan on Saturday, Qureshi said that it is very difficult to run a province having 120 million population.
The minister said that Pakistan is facing various challenges on external front including Indian aggression and attempts to isolate Pakistan at international level and efforts to push Pakistan from grey list into black list of Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
Therefore, he added, that the situation demands that the government and the opposition should set aside their differences and cooperate on these issues.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the incumbent government is not in favour of deal or relaxation as it strongly believes that things should move forward as per law. He said that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an independent institution which is taking action against corrupt elements without any prejudice.
The foreign minister urged the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif to avoid narrow thinking and show more responsibility for the Country’s interest.
In reply to a question, Qureshi said that the Sindh government is neglecting its opposition in distribution of funds.
