During the Covid-19 situation, the Government of the Philippines implemented the One Health Pass to ensure the health of all travellers who enter or exit the country. The authorities have replaced the OHP with an eTravel Registration Card for the Philippines. This initiative’s primary purpose is to ensure travellers’ safety and protection.
All Filipino residents as well as foreigners who are planning to enter the boundaries of the Philippines must get an eTravel Registration Card. Here you will get all the details regarding this card, its uses requirements, and the process.
What is eTravel Registration Card?
arrival Card and One Health Pass were used as health declarations or contact tracing of travellers. Currently, the government of the Philippines has suspended OHP and introduced eTravel Registration Card.
The purpose of this card is similar to the arrival card but requires lesser documentation and a more straightforward procedure. The card came into implementation on December 1, 2022.
This is the new electronic travel system. All the travellers, whether Filipino residents or foreign travellers, have to register with it to get permission to enter the lands of the Philippines.
Its registration also requires Health Declaration Checklist from BOQ to get immigration clearance. The travellers have to register for it in advance to avoid any trouble at the airport. It is desirable to complete the procedure three days before your arrival, so you have a digital version of your eTravel Card at the airport.
Requirements
Resolution No. 2 of the IATF has set some requirements for people to enter the Philippines. Only if they are eligible for these requirements can they travel to the country. Here are those:
Fully Vaccinated (Filipinos and Foreigners)
The fully vaccinated travellers do not have to provide a Covid-19 test. They must get a second dose of a two-dose series or a single-dose of Covid-19 immunization dose at least 14 days before travel.
Not Vaccinated or Partially Vaccinated
- Passengers who are 15 or above in age have to go through a Rapid Antigen Test certified by a trained medical expert. They have to do it 24 hours before the departure and present the result upon arrival.
- Those who failed the pre-departure test must get a Rapid Antigen Test on Arrival in the Philippines.
- Children under 15 who are not vaccinated must follow the Covid-19 regulations.
Anyone who fails the Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival in the Philippines is subject to Quarantine and Isolation Protocols. This applies to travellers of all nationalities, even the nationals of the Philippines.
Qualification
All travellers must abide by the basic entry procedures for different age groups. The requirements for the process vary according to the age of travellers.
Method
It is compulsory for all travellers, including infants and minors, to get eTravel Registration Card 72 hours before boarding the plane. They can do so by following this procedure:
- Go to the eTravel Registration Card website.
- Then fill in details about your personal information (Govt of the Philippines only uses your data for registration).
- Provide your valid passport number and job title (if applicable)
- Provide your postal address
- Complete the information regarding Health Declaration which includes details about your Covid-19 vaccination.
- After filling out the form and submitting it, your request is in process and awaits approval.
Note: You must visit the official website for eTravel Registration Card. It does not cost any fee. So, if you come across any website that requires registration charges, remember it’s a scam.
QR Codes
After completing the procedure, a QR code will be generated for you. So, wait to take a screenshot of it as it will be scanned at departure to the Philippines and arrival.
There are two types of QR codes generated by the eTravel system. If you get a Green QR Code, your provided information and attachments meet the recent IATF requirements. So, you are good to go to the Philippines.
You do not meet the requirements if you get a Red QR Code. When you arrive at the Philippines airport, a BOQ official will consider RT-PCR Scanning or Quarantine testing before allowing you to enter the land.
The QR codes only work once. So, you cannot use the same code for arrival and departure from the Philippines. You must register again for your next trip and generate a new QR code.
