KABUL: As many as 37 NATO trucks containing fuel and other supplies were destroyed after the Taliban militants attacked a NATO post in Afghanistan’s eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday.
The attack took place in the parking compound of a NATO base near the Torkham crossing on the border.
The spokesman for the provincial governor Ahmad Zia Abdulzai said that one attacker blew himself up while three others were killed in a gunbattle with police.
The Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that his group was behind the attack.
