ALMATY: Fifteen passengers mostly business professionals on board and five cabin crew members have died when a plane, reportedly a Challenger-200, has crashed near Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, media reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, the plane disappeared from radar at 1:15pm local time (7:15 GMT).

The crash may have been caused by thick fog, reports said. While Kazakhstan Air carrier SCAT reported that the plane attempted to land in harsh weather conditions. During the second landing attempt, the plane crashed.
