LAHORE: US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson on Friday held a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind and exchanged views over bilateral relations.
During the meeting, US envoy congratulated Nawaz Sharif on the success of his party in May 11 polls and said the US wanted to strengthen its ties with Pakistan and was willing to help Pakistan overcome the energy crisis. Various other issues were also discussed in the meeting.
Olson vowed that US would continue to support Islamabad for continuity of democracy in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, German Ambassador to Pakistan Cyrill Jean Nunn met Shahbaz Sharif, who has been nominated as Chief Minister Punjab, in Raiwind and discussed issues of mutual interests.
