ISLAMABAD: The United States has assured that it will continue to maintain partnership with Pakistan and work for peace and stability in the region.
The US Charge’d Affairs Thomas Williams held a meeting with the federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Friday and discussed bilateral economic issues and cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the US Charge’d Affairs said that his country is looking forward to enhance existing relations with Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
Thomas Williams said that the reimbursements to Pakistan on account of coalition support fund are on track.
The finance minister said that the structural reforms have started to yield positive results and all economic indicators are as per projection or even better.
Dar said that today Pakistan has fairly stable foreign exchange reserves and buoyant stock market which shows the confidence of the business community in the economic policies of the government.
