WASHINGTON: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel held a meeting with the US Secretary of State John Kerry at the US Department of State on Sunday evening, the Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa wrote on his twitter account.
The DG ISPR said that the COAS presented Pakistan’s perspective on regional security issues in the meeting with the US secretary of state.

The US secretary of state acknowledged Pakistan’s role in fighting terror and the sacrifices rendered by the country.
John Kerry also praised the professionalism of Pakistan Army and termed the institution a ‘truly binding force’.

In addition, Kerry welcomed progress on improving Pak-Afghan relations and termed it a step forward in regional stability. He assured his country’s full support to Pakistan in this regard.
