TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: Uzbekistan and the United States have developed promising projects related to engineering, oil and gas and gas chemical industries, electric power, textile and food industries, agriculture, health care and education for more than US$ 5 billion (Uzbek-US promising projects).
Talking to a delegation of the US-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce which led by its Chairman Carolyn Lamm met him in Tashkent on Monday, the Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev voiced satisfaction over the growing multifaceted Uzbek-US bilateral cooperation.
Uzbek-US promising projects value exceeds $5 billion
During talks, the two sides noted the important role of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), which includes 37 world-renowned companies, investment corporations and US banks, in strengthening mutually beneficial business cooperation.
The two sides also discussed concrete prospects for further deepening practical cooperation in various sectors, first of all in promoting technological partnership.
“Since the beginning of this year, 25 new enterprises with the participation of American investments have been created in the country, the volume of mutual trade has doubled,” the Uzbekistan’s presidential press service noted.
Uzbekistan is advancing cooperation in the trade, economic, investment and innovation spheres with such leading US companies as General Electric, Boeing, CNH Industrial, John Deere, Honeywell, Silverleaf, White & Case and by many others.
