RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: At least 12 militants were killed during air strikes by the security forces in the North Waziristan tribal region on Saturday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The ISPR said that three hideouts and four ammunition laden vehicles of the militants were also destroyed.
The reports said that the strikes, which were carried out by the Pakistan army’s army aviation helicopters as the part of the operation Zarb-e-Azb, took place near Gorsatai Nala area.
Earlier in the day, the military’s media wing said that at least three militants were killed in an exchange of fire with the security forces in Boya area of North Waziristan.
The ISPR said that a Pakistan army’s naib subedar Muzzamil also embraced martyrdom during the clash.
