BUCHAREST, Romania: Nearly 250,000 people including 19,611 Ukrainians entered Romania on July 23, the Romanian News Agency Agerpres reported.
Citing the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police (IGPF), the news agency reported that 249,103 persons entered Romania on Sunday through the Border Crossing Points including 19,611 Ukrainian citizens.
It was stated that approximately 454,300 Romanian and foreign citizens and more than 112,000 means of transport have completed control at border crossing points throughout the Country, both on the inbound and on the outbound.
On the Romanian entry side, there were 249,103 persons, of whom 19,611 Ukrainian citizens. Thus, as of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 5,189,530 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.
It’s worth noting that Russia’s war against Ukraine has sparked a humanitarian crisis for the Ukrainian people and upended global food and energy security.
