MOSCOW, Russia: At least 20 persons were killed and more than 160 others sustained injuries when a Moscow subway train derailed on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred between the Slaviansky Boulevard and Park Pobedy stations where several cars went off the track.
In a press conference, a spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said that investigators were looking into the causes of the accident. However, he said that there was no suspicion of a militant attack.
“No signs of terrorist act are being seen. It’s most likely a technological accident,” Markin said.
