ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Tuesday said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and its leadership would not opt for any deal to shy away from courts or compromise on principles.

“We shall stand firm on principles. We shall neither opt for any deal or compromise nor give any relaxation to conspirators,” he said talking to media in front of the Accountability Court in Islamabad.

Talal Chaudhry said that those conspiring against the government desire that the Senate elections are not held on time.

“Qadri is simply a face to show the people. Actually Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are behind the moves for unrest,” he said.

The minister smelled something foul behind no-confidence move against the Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri, and doubted that no confidence move against Zehri could be a move against democracy.

The state minister said that it is regrettable that instead of talking about hitting the drones, these politicians are talking of wrapping up an elected provincial government.

The minister said that the game being played in Balochistan will have more serious consequences for democracy than the provincial government. He categorically said that the government will not step back from its principled stand no matter how many ‘Canadies (Qadris)’ are imported to exert pressure on the government.

Talal Chaudhry expressed firm belief that Senate elections and general elections would be held in time and pave way to strengthen democracy in the Country.

Talking about conduct of PTI Chief Imran Khan, Chaudhry said that Imran does not feel any difference between the abode of his spiritual leader and Gymkhana Club.

“He lacks capacity to understand the difference between the residence of a spiritual leader and a club,” Talal stated.

Talal said that Imran Khan is perhaps the first follower who intruded the sanctuary of a spiritual leader and occupied it.
