Dushanbe, Tajikistan: The Government of the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has signed an agreement to establish a Joint Criminal Police Organization. This Police force will work like the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) works all over the world.
The head office of new criminal police organisation would be established in Russia. The new force will fight against organized crimes and other dangerous types of crimes and arrest culprits within the territories of the CIS member states.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, the corresponding document was signed by Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsov and Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzod.
“Both sides also discussed topical issues of cooperation in law enforcement. Attention was paid to the preparation for the next meeting of the Council of Ministers of Internal Affairs of the CIS member states and the meeting of the Joint Collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and Tajikistan. This international treaty fixes the legal status of the location of the bureau on the territory of the Russian Federation and contributes to the creation of appropriate conditions for its activities,” said the statement released by Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
