The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is once again set to host third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), beginning from February 22, 2018 with the opening match between Peshawar Zalmi v Multan Sultans at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Besides Dubai International Cricket Stadium where 18 T20s will take place, Sharjah Cricket Stadium has also been fixed as the venue of 13 matches of HBL PSL 2018 while Semi Finals and Final will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Stadium in Karachi respectively.
Unlike the previous PSL editions which featured five teams including Peshawar Zalmi, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United; this year Multan Sultans led by Shoaib Malik will also compete as new entrants.
The PSL 2018 will culminate on March 25 with the Final at Karachi’s National Stadium.
The Opening Ceremony for HBL PSL 2018 will be held on Thursday ahead of the first match between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans.
Earlier on Tuesday, the trophy of PSL’s third edition was unveiled in Dubai. The trophy was brought to the venue via a helicopter from where it was received by the Captains of PSL teams.
