The 40th Match of ICC World Cup 2019 is being held between Bangladesh and India at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday.
India have won the toss and opted to bat, announcing two replacements Bhuvneshwar Kumar came in for Kuldeep Yadav while Kedar Jadhav have been replaced by Dinesh Karthik.
India’s Squad for today’s game includes KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (Captain), Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni (Wicketkeeper), Dinesh Karthik, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Bangladesh’s Squad for today’s game includes Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (Wicketkeeper), Liton Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Sabbir Rahman, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mashrafe Mortaza (Captian), Rubel Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman.

Though India also yet have to secure their place for the knock-out round but Bangladesh would be more tempted not to lose to the match. If Bangladesh suffer a defeat today, their hopes for reaching the next round would be over.
So far Bangladesh, irrespective of being a low-ranked ODI team, have been very impressive in the event. They thrashed South Africa, West Indies and Afghanistan, and also pushed New Zealand on the back foot at The Oval on June 5.
Currently, Bangladesh with 7 points are at Seventh Place in Points Table while India with 11 points are at Second Spot.
The last time India faced Bangladesh at the Men’s Cricket World Cup, a knock of 137 from Rohit Sharma helped his side to a quarter-final victory!

In terms of bilateral contests since ICC World Cup 2015, the two teams have been face to face six times, of which, India won four games whereas Bangladesh two.
Overall in 2019, Bangladesh have won seven of their 13 ODIs matches whereas India have won 13 of their 19 matches.
