ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Wednesday issued the interim order in ISAF containers implementation case, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
The Court directed the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to arrange recoveries from the accused within two weeks and submit compliance report with two weeks
Earlier on Monday, the apex court was informed that an amount of Rs54.73 billion had been embezzled in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) containers’ case and the people involved in looting money have got stay orders from High Court.
Reports had said that about 28,000 containers originally meant for international forces in Afghanistan under the Afghan Transit Trade (ATT) agreement, had gone missing from the Karachi port. These containers were carrying supplies for the international forces in Afghanistan.
