Some excellent batting performances entertained the Cape Town spectators and millions of TV viewers last night.
South African Captain Faf du Plessis’ 78 runs and Reeza Hendricks’ 74 runs innings helped their side to put a mammoth 193 runs target for Pakistan to chase in the first T20I.
In response, Pakistani batting line up had almost reached to the target but in the end fell short of six runs.
Shoaib Malik with 49, Hussain Talat with 40 and Babar Azam with 38 runs respectively were pick of the batsmen form Pakistan.
Of all players who didn’t take a wicket or score more than 10 runs in a T20I, only two have earned a player-of-the-match award.

However eventually it was South African David Miller who earned the Man of the Match award. Although while batting, David Miller failed to accelerate his innings and got out on just 10 runs off 12 balls.
But since he was involved in four catches and two brilliant run outs, he sealed all the limelight.
A huge mention has to go to this man, @DavidMillerSA12! 🙌🇿🇦
