Just two weeks ago, it had become quite tough for the people to believe that Pakistan and England would make to the Final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
Especially Pakistan which dealt two back-to-back blows against India and Zimbabwe in the main round. Certainly, their belief had nosed down and the confidence was shattered; therefore, the prospects in the tournament had turned bleak.
Even England succumbed to an upset to Ireland and later ceased to gain just one point in the washed out T20I against Australia.
But as it is deemed that cricket is a game of uncertainty, and some divine intervention for Pakistan helped both struggling sides to reach the Final.

Both Pakistan and England have reached the Final of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the third time.
Pakistan locked horn with India in the Final of 2007 ICC World Twenty20 at Johannesburg but lost by 5 runs. However, in 2009, Pakistan rose to the title of World Champion by beating Sri Lanka at Lord’s in the Final by 8 wickets.
Paul Collingwood-led England sealed the title of 2010 ICC World Twenty20 by defeating West Indies by 7 wickets in the Final at Bridgetown. Though six years later, West Indies settled the score at Eden Gardens and quashed hopes of Eoin Morgan’s men for the second title.
