The Fourth Edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) will feature two more T20 matches today (February 17).
The first match will begin at 04:30 pm PST between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators while the second match will take place between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi at 09:00 pm PST.
The HBL PSL 2019 is very much equally poised right now as except Peshawar Zalmi, all teams have 2 points each.
Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators have played just one match each in PSL 2019. However, rest of franchises have fought twice each and tasted both outcomes – victory and defeat.
Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars will take on Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi respectively today in HBL PSL 2019
Both Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators have been among the best performers in HBL PSL. The two-time Champions Islamabad United has previously inflicted defeat to Quetta Gladiators five times in eight bilateral encounters.
Islamabad United won the inaugural battle against Lahore Qalandars and gained 2 points. But yesterday, it had to suffer a five-wicket defeat at the hands of Multan Sultans.
#Sherus 🦁 are eager to #RoarForVictory as they will face Quetta Gladiators in today’s clash.

Except Luke Ronchi, none of other Islamabad United’s players made an impact with the bat, and were restricted to just 125 runs in 20 overs. Though Islamabad United had an early success as Multan Sultans’ Johnson Charles was caught behind off Waqas Maqsood for 0 but it wasn’t enough to bring the opposition under pressure.
Multan Sultans reached the target in 18.4 overs quiet easily after Shahid Afridi smashed two back-to-back sixes towards extra cover and mid-wicket.
As above mentioned, Peshawar Zalmi has been on the field just once in HBL PSL 2019. Peshawar Zalmi lost to Quetta Gladiators on February 15 by six wickets.
Being the second most successful team in PSL after Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi don’t seem to remain sidelined any longer. Today, it would be up against Lahore Qalandars which bagged its first victory in the ongoing event last night against Karachi Kings.
#Qalandars will take on @PeshawarZalmi tonight at 9 pm! It will be as intense & entertaining as last nights match ! Keep supporting us Qalandars! 😍
