ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) established ‘Heritage Shop’ at Pakistan Monument Museum (PMM), Shakarparian in Islamabad
‘Heritage Shop’ would provide an opportunity to the visitors to buy the videos and CDs of performances and documentaries on renowned folk artists, books on folklore and Lok Virsa’s publications of their choice.
While addressing the inauguration ceremony of newly established ‘Heritage Shop’, the Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr Fouzia Saeed said that the project was conceptualized and executed with an aim to promote and safeguard traditional values.
Dr Fouzia Saeed said that a large number of people from different walks of life also attended the shop inauguration ceremony.
The Pakistan Monument Museum depicts ancient civilization, freedom struggle of Pakistan, birth of Pakistan and major achievements of Pakistan to-date.
The PMM also has the facilities of reference library, audio-visual archive and conference hall along with a 62 seat capacity auditorium known as Panorama Hall.
