CARDIFF: India defeated South Africa by 26 runs in the opening match of ICC Champions Trophy at Cardiff on Thursday.
Batting first‚ India scored 331 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Shikhar Dhawan was the top scorer from India with 114 runs.
In reply‚ South Africa could score 305 runs in the 50 overs.
Pakistan will play its first match against West Indies at Oval on Friday.
