LAHORE, Pakistan: The Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah will be the Chief Guest in the Inaugural Ceremony of 2nd Pakistan Women’s Super Hockey League being held at National Hockey Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday.

The five-team 2nd Women’s Hockey League 2018 will go underway with the first match between Lahore Lions and Karachi Dolphins.

Beside Lahore Lions and Karachi Dolphins, Islamabad Shaheen, Peshawar Dears and Quetta Panthers will be competing with each other in the event till February 11, 2018 (Sunday).

Meanwhile in a Press Conference in Lahore, the Secretary of the Pakistan Hockey Federation’s (PHF) Women Wing Tanzeela Aamir Cheema said that the age limit of 23 years has been set for the players to be eligible to participate in the league.

Tanzeela Aamir further said that banned players will not be allowed to compete in the 2nd Pakistan Women’s Super Hockey League.

Prior to it, a Short Training Camp was also organized for the league at National Hockey Stadium. The 2nd Women’s Hockey League 2018, being organized under the auspices of PHF, has been sponsored by Qmobile, Sitara Lawn, Shezan, and Murree Burages.

Earlier on Monday, a Hockey Match between Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh XI and Olympian Manzoor Junior XI was played in Rawalpindi to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day.
