TRIPOLI: The Libyan parliamentary elections will be held on June 25, the country’s interim parliament has announced.
“It is decided that June 25 will be the date for the parliamentary election,” Deputy Vice President of the General National Congress (GNC) Saleh al-Makhzoum said.
The Libyan people, according to the country’s political transition plan, will elect a House of Representatives later this year to replace the current interim parliament, the GNC but the schedule has been delayed several times due to political upheavals.
