Pakistan will face Netherlands on Sunday evening in the Pool D match of the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018.

It’s the last group match of both the teams in the tournament. Earlier Pakistan lost to Germany 0-1 but leveled the match against Malaysia 1-1.
While Netherland beat Malaysia by 7-0 but suffered a defeat against Germany by 1-4.

The ongoing Men’s Hockey World Cup being held at the Kalinga Stadium in the Indian City of Bhubaneswar is the 14th Edition. The first Men’s Hockey World Cup took place at Barcelona in Spain in 1971. Since then, the tournament is held every four years.
So far as per the results of 13 previous Editions, Pakistan has been the most successful team in Men’s Hockey World Cups. Pakistan won the title four times in 1971, 1978, 1982 and 1994.
Netherlands won the title three times in 1973, 1990 and 1998. Currently, Australia is the Defending Champions.

In bilateral World Cup Encounters, Pakistan has enjoyed a dominance over Netherlands. Out of 10 matches between them, Pakistan won six times and lost three while two matches ended in draw.
Today, Germany and Malaysia will also meet in another match of Pool D.
In Pool D Points Table, Germany is leading with six points followed by Netherlands with three points. Pakistan and Malaysia have one point each.
