DHAKA, Bangladesh: Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 328 runs in the second and final cricket Test at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday to clinch the series 1-0.
Pakistan’s leg-spinner Yasir Shah took four wickets on the fourth day of the second Test. Overall he picked up seven wickets in the match.
In their second innings, Bangladesh were given a target of 550 runs to register their first even Test victory against currently third-ranked Pakistan. But they were all out for 221 runs. Only Mominul Haque could manage to hit a half-century in the second innings.
Earlier in the first innings, Bangladesh scored 203 runs before they lost their all 10 wickets.
Pakistan in their first innings scored 557 runs for 8 wickets while scored 195 runs for 6 wickets in their second innings. Pakistan declared their both innings.
It was the first Pakistan’s victory during the Bangladesh tour as the visiting side earlier lost the three-match one day international (ODIs) series 0-3 and also faced defeat in the only T20 while the first Test ended in a draw between the two sides.
