Pakistan will play its first match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 against Australia on October 24 next year at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The mega event will be played from October 18 to November 15, 2020 in seven cities of Australia.
A total of 45 T20 Internationals will take place among 16 teams at seven venues including Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, The Gabba in Brisbane, Kardinia Park in Geelong, Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne, SCG in Sydney, and Perth Stadium in Perth.
Pakistan has been placed in Pool A along with Australia, New Zealand and West Indies while India, England, South Africa and Afghanistan are in Pool B.
The top eight teams in ICC Men’s T20 Rankings have automatically qualified for the tournament while Sri Lanka and Bangladesh – 9th and 10th in the T20 rankings respectively – will contest six other sides in the qualifying tournament in Geelong and Hobart for the remaining four spots in the Super 12 Stage.

For the first time since WC 2011, there won’t be an Ind vs Pak match in the group stage of an ICC event. #T20WorldCup
