LAHORE, Pakistan: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Shaharyar M Khan said on Monday that they had assigned the task to former Pakistan captain, Shoaib Malik to work on improving conduct and behaviour of tainted pacer Muhammad Amir.
“Shoaib will use his cricketing experience and skills to motivate Amir on bettering relations with fellow colleagues besides creating understanding in the larger interest of cricket,” he told media men at Gadaffi stadium.
He said Shoaib would also be providing guidance to Amir on various cricketing matters.
To a question he said PCB would extend all out cooperation to international cricket council regarding positive testing of spinner Yasir Shah. “We are thoroughly examining the issue and will assist ICC in reaching a justified conclusion,” he asserted.
“We have zero tolerance towards the use of prohibited drugs in cricket and we are fully following the guide line of ICC in this regard by delivering lecture under ICC anti-doping policy,” he added.
