ISLAMABAD: British Prime Minister David Cameron called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Saturday evening.
The two leaders discussed matters relating to increased bilateral cooperation in different fields with focus on economic ties and regional situation.
The British Prime Minister congratulated the President on smooth democratic transition in the country.
Earlier‚ British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in Islamabad for wide-ranging talks with Pakistani leadership on bilateral cooperation and regional situation. He was greeted at the airport by Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid.
David Cameron will meet Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif tomorrow (Sunday)
Both sides are expected to exchange views on ways and means to diversify Pak-UK cooperation.
David Cameron will also meet business leaders in Islamabad and will discuss new avenues of bilateral cooperation for enhancing trade and investment. He will also meet young students and discuss various regional and international issues with them.
