Peshawar Zalmi reached the final of the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) after beating Karachi Kings by 24 runs in the third Qualifing Final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday night.

Zalmi will now face Quetta Gladiatots at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.

While batting first Peshawar Zalmi scored 181 for the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Kamran Akmal scored 104 runs off 65 balls.

In reply, Karachi Kings could score 157 for 7 in 20 overs.

The two strongest and most famous teamms of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will face each other on Friday night at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the battle to face Quetta Gladiators in the PSL final scheduled in Lahore on March 5.

Both the Sides are enriched with legendary Cricketers like Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Kieron Pollard are in Karachi Kings whereas Peshawar Zalmi have Shahid Afridi and Darren Sammy.

Karachi Kings had a disappointment start in the HBL PSL 2017 as it lost its three opening matches consecutively but then it came hard and won four out of five following T20 matches.

Last two Karachi Kings’ consecutive victories also included the win in the 2nd Qualifying Final against Defending Champion Islamabad United by 44 runs.

By now, Karachi Kings’ Players are on top in terms of most runs and most wickets as its Babar Azam is the leading scorer of PSL 2017 with 290 runs and Sohail Khan is the leading wicket taker with 15 wickets.

Similarly, Karachi Kings’ Kieron Pollard has taken 8 catches, more than any other Player while Kumar Sangakkara being a Wicket Keeper was involved in 10 dismissals.

On the other hand, Shahid Afridi of Peshawar Zalmi has so far hit most sixes (15) in the tournament.

In Comparison, Peshawar Zalmi has an excellent record against Karachi Kings. Both Sides met four times in the PSL History, out of which Peshawar won three games while Karachi Kings just one.
