Islamabad United will kick off its PSL 7 Campaign with its inaugural match against Multan Sultans at National Stadium in Karachi on Saturday.
The two teams have previously been face to face 9 times since the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) first edition in 2016.

With a 55.55% winning percentage, Islamabad United has so far enjoyed more successes against Multan Sultans as out of 9 T20s held between them, the former won 5 and 4 matches ended in the latter’s favour.
Later in the evening, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators will be up against each other.
Both sides lost their respective opening matches in PSL 2022.

In its opening match against Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings lost by 7 wickets. In the pursuit of 125 runs target set by Karachi in 20 overs, Multan reached it quite comfortably in 18.2 overs with the loss of 2 wickets.
The Multan Sultans Captain Muhammad Rizwan, who has recently been declared by the ICC as the Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year 2021, continued his brilliant form with the bat and scored unbeaten 52 runs.
Whereas Quetta Gladiators lost to Peshawar Zalmi last night by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Quetta scored 190 for 4 in stipulated 20 overs with Will Smeed and Ahsan Ali as the top scorers with 97 and 73 runs respectively.
In reply, Peshawar reached the target in 19.4 overs with 5 wickets still in the hand.
The Captain Shoaib Malik played a crucial knock of 48 runs off 32 balls, and took his side to the victory. Hussain Talat also scored 52 runs before being caught at long-on off James Faulkner’s bowling.
