Pakistan had to face defeat against the defending champions and arch-rivals India in their opening match of the tournament and then easily lost to West Indies in their second game as well.
Therefore, Misbah-ul-Haq’s men desperately need to win against Zimbabwe if they want to stay alive in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 tourney.
“I think this is a chance for us to just get our confidence back. Zimbabwe is a very good side, everybody knows that they can really come good on any given day. But I think it’s our chance,” Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq said.
It is likely that Pakistan will make two changes to the playing eleven. The leg-spinner Yasir Shah will be likely playing against opponents that have traditionally struggled against quality wrist SPIN. The wicket-keeper batsman Sarfraz Ahmed should also be restored to the top of the order in place of Younis Khan.
