Patna: “I respect the mandate of the people. I accept responsibility for the defeat”, says Nitish Kumar. Bihar chief minister Kumar resigned today  after his party the Janata Dal United was crushed by BJP in the general election.
The JD(U) has won just two out of  40 Lok Sabha seats from Bihar while  BJP has won 31 along with its allies in the polls.
