Following story was posted prior to the commencement of Second Quarter-Final of ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2018 between Pakistan and South Africa at Christchurch on January 24, 2018.

Pakistan will face South Africa in the Second Quarter-Final of ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2018 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Wednesday to qualify for the Semi-Finals to be played later at the same venue.

Earlier in the First Quarter-Final held on January 23 at Queenstown, Australia’s Leg-Spinner Lloyd Pope steered his Side to the Semis by virtue of his exceptional bowling figure 8-35 against England.

While batting first, Australia U-19 Team was bowled out for just 127 in 33.3 overs. Except the Captain Jason Sangha, who scored 58 runs, none of other Australian batsmen could show some resistance.

Though Tom Banton provided an excellent start to England as their first wicket fell on 47 but their last nine wickets fell after adding just 49 runs to the total. In the end, England were bowled out for 96 runs, curtesy Lloyd Pope’s 8 wickets.

Pakistan topped the group D of Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2018 after they beat Ireland and Sri Lanka in the group stage but lost to Afghanistan in the inaugural match while South Africa remained at Second Place in group A.

So far Shaheen Afridi has been the leading wicket taker from Pakistan in the event with 9 wickets while the Opener and Wicket-Keeper batsman Rohail Nazir and Ali Zaryab Asif have been the leading scorers with 99 runs respectively.U-19 Cricket World Cup 2018: Pakistan vs South Africa Quarter-Final Live Streaming

The Third Quarter-Final will take place at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on January 25 between New Zealand and Afghanistan whereas the Fourth Quarter-Final will be played between Bangladesh and India at Queenstown Events Centre on January 26.

A total of 16 Under-19 Teams participated in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2018 which kicked off on January 13 and its Final is scheduled on February 3 at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui.
