LAHORE, Pakistan: The German ambassador to Pakistan Dr Cyrill Nunn held a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Monday and discussed matters of mutual interest, promotion of bilateral ties and cooperation in various sectors.
During the meeting, the German envoy said that his country wanted to promote cooperation with Pakistan in diverse sectors including trade and economic fields.
The envoy also condemned the Wagah tragedy and expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives.
The Punjab Chief Minister also stressed the need to further promote close bilateral trade and economic ties as well as contacts between businessmen of the two countries.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan rendered innumerable sacrifices in war against terrorism. He said that entire Pakistani nation is united against terrorists’ mindset.
