ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Selector Haroon Rasheed has discarded all speculations of Younis Khan’s inclusion in the national One Day squad for series against England starting next month in Abu Dhabi.

Haroon said all news regarding Younis inclusion in the ODIs are speculations.

“I am traveling to Dubai to discuss with team management as they are busy in test series,” Pakpassion.net quoted Haroon as saying.

Haroon said Pakistan wining second test was a huge confidence booster.

“We are focusing on improvement in ODI rankings as we are standing on 9th we have to be in first eight by September 30th, 2017 to qualify directly into 2019 World Cup,” he said.

He said do not assume that youngsters would be dropped for seniors from the team. “It is regarding only one or two individuals,” he said adding to move forward we have to take a step back.

He said our future series are not in sub-continent we are going to play in New Zealand, England and Australia so we need to have a blend of seniors and youngsters.

“All discussion done in closed door meetings should remain there. We always think of future series’ while selecting teams,” he added.
