Following a Test series debacle against New Zealand, Pakistan Cricket Team will depart for South Africa tonight to face an even tougher series as the visitors have never won a Test series there since January 95.
Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan Test Squad; however, won’t have the record-breaker Yasir Shah while travelling to South Africa tonight. His delayed departure is caused by some personal engagements, and he will join the Squad on December 20.
Therefore, Yasir Shah will not available for a three-day Tour Match against Cricket South Africa Invitation XI at Benoni from December 19-21.
Pakistan’s Tour to South Africa will officially begin with a three-match Test series on December 26 at Centurion.

It is 11th Test series between the two teams since 1995, and Pakistan’s Sixth tour to South Africa which also include Test matches.
As aforementioned, Pakistan has toured South Africa five times in the past for Test series; however, the former never won any of them.

Out of 23 Test matches between them, Pakistan has won just four while South Africa sealed triumphs in 12 matches.
The upcoming three-match Test series will be held in Centurion, Cape Town and Johannesburg where Pakistan has yet to taste a Test victory.
The first Test will be played at Centurion from December 26-30, 2018; the second at Cape Town from January 3-7, 2019; and the third at Johannesburg from January 11-15, 2019.
