CHITRAL: The three-day historical Shandur Polo Festival is all set to begin at the highest Polo Ground of the World today (Friday).
The Shandur Polo ground is about 12,500 feet above sea level.
Eight teams from across the district are participating in the event. The Gilgit-Baltistan team has boycotted the event.
The opening match will be played between the teams of Laspur and Chitral.
Other activities include paragliding, mushaira, tug of war, football match and cultural show.
Meanwhile, the district police claimed to have made foolproof security arrangement to ensure safety of the participants of the event.
